“First, think. Second, dream. Third, believe. And finally, dare.” – Walt Disney

Welcome to the vibrant world of Patricia Levert, an established artist with roots in North Bay, Ontario. Patricia’s journey into the arts began in junior high, continued through high school, and began to fully blossom with her studies in theatre at Humber College’s Technical Production and Design Program, completed in 1997. Not one to wait, Patricia swiftly established herself as a stage manager in Toronto, a role she proudly held for over a decade.

In 2008, Patricia relocated to Peterborough and embarked on a new chapter. Here, she expanded her artistic horizons. Her passion motivated her to explore diverse genres, including theatre, dance, music, and circus arts. Over the past six years, Patricia has focused on lighting design, projections, conceptual set design, and dramaturgical collaboration.

In May 2024, Patricia was asked to be the Lighting Designer for two local shows: “A Hen Called Freedom” and “Weathering and Waiting”. In February 2024, she was the Lighting Designer and Stage Manager for the local Peterborough Academy of Circus Arts Cirquelesque event. For each show, she created a powerful display to help convey the creators’ unique visions. Further to her love of lighting, she portrayed Katherine Wallis in the 2019 Little Lake Cemetery Pageant. She is also a successful graduate of the National Circus School of Canada and is now a fully certified Social Circus Instructor.

Patricia has a persona named Zupies. Under the guise of Zupies, Patricia transforms into a captivating French clown from Northern Ontario, delighting audiences with her circus performances. Her repertoire includes standout acts like aLIVE at the Peterborough Academy of Circus Arts in July 2021, Clown Cafe with Hilary Wear during Arts Week 2015, and engaging roles in Circus Dreamland in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

“The line between disorder and order lies in logistics…” – Sun Tzu

In December 2023, Patrica was excited to take on the role of Production Manager for NOMADA, she ensured the team’s vision, hardware, props, personal items and goods arrived at their destinations. Her dedication and experience were integral to the success of the show. As of June 2024, NOMADA was nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore Awards within the Dance Division, these are Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performance by an Individual, and Outstanding Original Sound Composition. NOMADA won the Outstanding Original Sound Composition.

Throughout her professional journey, Patricia has consistently demonstrated her unwavering commitment to the arts through numerous public presentations and collaborative projects, solidifying her reputation as a respected and versatile artist.
